We're pretty much giving away G1 to Zombies if that helps; outside of massive undying/indestructible decks however it should beat aggro. The only card I really know for sure I want in there is a 3rd sever.

Thoughts on the other 14 slots?

I kind of like slaughter games in the SB. It makes games against Thragtusk decks incredibly simple just because most of their strategy is based on that card.

It also works against reanimator decks too as GY hate.

don't you pretty much need duress or slaughter games to stop sphinx's revelation from UW just burying you?

Okay so in testing so far I've changed the deck a little and discovered something pretty fascinating. For starters no matter WHO your opponent is? You're the control deck. I realize this sounds insane but honestly that's the way it plays out.

I cut -1 Underworld Connections (the card is just as bad as it looks, really) and -3 Mizzium Mortars for +3 Dreadbore and +1 KWR. I needed 25 land and with so many mana sinks I wasn't worried about flooding. Whether or not that should be another basic is still debatable but it SHOULD be the 25th land.

This is the SB I used (just built it random off my head at the time):

2x Deathrite Shaman
3x Duress
2x Abrupt Decay
3x Rakdos Charm
2x Lilianna of the Veil
2x Pillar
1x Sever

So far I've boarded in the Duress/Lil package vs control and Deathrites + Rakdos Charm vs reanimator. Not really a whole lot to go on I realize just telling you what I've gotten done so far.

The maindeck is basically ridiculous; was very happy with Lil/Duress in SB, Shaman worked okay but only b/c opponent didn't kill it.

Unsure if we should even bother with the Pillars, lets be honest here boarding in 2x Pillar after losing game 1 to Zombie doesn't mean I'm going to win or even be the favorite in Game 2.

Also, the land is somehow wrong. I have no clue how to fix it because it's just hideous some games. Definitely have to lose the 3rd KWR for another land that comes into play untapped (so basically......a basic) and MAYBE a woodland cem too for another basic.

I would change the deathrite's out for cages in the SB because in the matches that deathrite is awesome cage is even more awesome and you aren't too concerned with flashing back your severs, also in reference to the mana you may want to cut a card and add another basic.

I know this deck has a lot of X spells, but dude? I'm not going to 26 land and 2 Keyrunes. That's just, brutal.

Oh, I have another idea for a possible SB option, Curse of death's hold seems really good against esper planeswalkers, UW Humans, and well, pretty much anything with creatures. Turn 4 curse? Good game?

Definitely a thought, it's also reasonable against Zombie which you should at least TRY to have some kinda SB for. Will think on it for sure, thank Eric.
