Sharing a Junk Rites Deck

deck seems good. I thought there was an ordinance that said all decks must start with 4 farseeks these days. Not sure it is practical but might be worth thinking about a transformative sideboard to go into a more tokens direction for game two. I would imagine you are pretty solid in game one and that might be a good way to hedge in game two and three. Also guessing Armada over grisel is cuz you can actually cast armada? This would make sense, but curious if it will have high enough impact turn 4/5.

You guessed correctly, the plan is to board out of Rites G2 or G3 against heavy meta and switch into a G/W Angels deck that ruins you with Vault.

I hate Griselbrand in this meta fwiw. Too many snap untap answers "Yo bro you want to draw 7 before I swing at you for 11? Yeah thought not"

walkers and virtue, I would say as your pro active sideboard. Then couple of answer cards for mirror etc. I like the deck but at the same time wouldn't be surprised if reanimating signarda leave you feeling like you didn't get value

She's primarily on the hardcast plan; 90% of the time you reanimate AoS, Wurm or if you can believe it Resto b/c you already have a 187 effect in play.

It's a weird deck.

Look, the ENTIRE point of this format is to crush your opponent under a never ending wave of spells. As bad as that play looks on paper think about what happens when you Rites a Resto and she targets Tusk/Wurm?

The entire point is to never, ever run out of shit to do. Using Resto to hit 187 creatures is half this deck's gameplan, if you have to do it from the yard you absolutely should do that. It's all about grinding value.

Basically this deck wins the way Steve wins at Limited.

I was thinking something more like this:

3x Virtue
3x Sorin
1x Geist Honored Monk
3x Entreat the Angels
+5 other cards that would be good in this format to stop people from just killing me or something. NFC what those 5 cards would be yet.

you don't need those. 8 md lifegain sources + ability to see 16~ cards by t4-5 is enough to beat pretty much every aggro deck. in theory i guess you want to appetite away thundermaw hellkite but idk if it even matters.

edit: 7 i guess. you can run a 4th tusk in the board oh no!!!
